WHAT ARE EXOSOMES?

Exososmes are small extracellular vesicles containing cellular information crucial in allowing for communication between our cells. They are akin to messengers, critical in carrying proteins, cytokines, growth factors, and nucleic acids between cells to alter biologic response. Secreted by many cell types, exosomes can be found throughout the body and have been shown to play an important role in cellular communication, tissue remodeling and regrowth. Studies at the animal and cellular level have demonstrated that exosomes derived from stem cells are able to stimulate the surrounding cells to grow and regenerate. As they are not cells themselves, exosomes are unlikely to stimulate an immunogenic response, cannot replicate into harmful cells and cannot become infected with viruses.

WHERE DO THE EXOSOMES COME FROM??

Nuova-Health uses products from JuveXO’, a US-based laboratory involved in developing this new technology. JuveXO’s products have been studied extensively and are derived from a master line of Mesenchymal Stem Cells. Donated from Umbilical Cord Lining Cells, these exosomes are blended with high concentrations of naturally occurring proteins and growth factors.  This product is cell-free, sterile, and ethically created using safety guidelines under the Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP).  Exosome therapy is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for clinical use. There is currently extensive research and several clinical trials using exosome therapy under investigation for therapeutic use, and regulated by the FDA, however exosome therapy for any purpose remains experimental and investigational. There are potential risks associated with exosome treatment and results are not guaranteed.
